Du nouveau en ce qui concerne CU, tout du moins en ce qui concerne la race Vicking et plus directement les Valkyries
Dans le communiqué venant des devs (se trouvant ICI), on peut y découvrir le background/lore des Valkyries ainsi que les premières esquisses de ce à quoi “elles” devraient ressembler.
Ci contre, nous pouvons voir le concept d'”ailes” que les devs étudient à l’heure acteuelle. La fonction de vol se matérialiserait en un mode de déplacement temporaire et non pas un mode de déplacement à part entière.
Et pour finir, un liste des traits raciaux à l’étude dont certains utilisent une synergie race/classe ou encore mettent en avant les capacités physiques du personnage :
Possible Racial Boons/Abilities
Our hatred makes us strong – All Valkyrie’s must take at least one boon of this type that acts as a permanent attack buff when a Valkyrie attacks a member of that race.
When tears start flowing… – Valkyries are a very empathetic race and as such, suffer when they see too many members of their realm being killed. When that happens, they begin to weep blood-red tears that act as a temporary attack buff.
Your time is up – Valkyries can use a specific weapon (depending on class) to cause enemy bodies to be burned to ashes.
Round and round and round we go – Valkyries can use their wings as a +X% to defense. While whirling they cannot attack with anything other than their wings.
[Please note: Valkyrie wings cannot be used to fly except as below and are NOT confirmed for the game. So, before someone starts a discussion on the forums about them being OP…]
Save us! – While not capable of normal flight, Valkyries can use their wings as a +X% speed buff while moving. To activate this ability the Valkyrie must be moving toward and reach a place of conflict. If the Valkyrie doesn’t reach this place, a temporary speed debuff will be placed on the character.
Cry for justice – If a Valkyrie is present when a building is being burnt or being looted they can let out a shriek that lets other Valkyries know where they are.
Possible Racial Banes
Memories are painful – Valkyries must take at least one bane of this type that acts as a permanent attack debuff when a member of that race attacks the Valkyrie. This is due to a bit of twisted racial memory, which associates that race with the one whose actions led them to becoming Valkyrie.
They are not as strong as they look – The wings of a Valkyrie come with certain advantages but when struck, an additional X% of the damage is transferred to the player. Players might have to make a saving throw versus shock depending on amount of damage that occurs over a short period of time and/or one hit.
We are unique – Valkyries cannot be brought back to consciousness by anything but other Valkyries, Veilstorm or rebirth.
Overwhelming grief – As Valkyries are very empathetic, they can sometimes be overwhelmed by the amount of death and destruction that surrounds them. When this occurs they will have a temporary, non-stackable, non-removable debuff placed on them.
